Sparks Middle School resides in the wonderful City of La Puente.  It is one of 10 middle schools in the Hacienda La Puente Unified School District and serves students in grades 7-8.

The school has been recognized and earned the California Civic Learning Award of Merit through a partnership with the City of La Puente called “Project Lead”.  Life Experiences About Democracy (LEAD) includes goals that promote a friendly, clean, green, engaged, and healthy city.  Students are provided opportunities throughout the year that promote getting involved and learning more about local government.
