About Us
Sparks Middle School is proud to serve the community of the City of La Puente. We are one of the ten middle schools in the Hacienda La Puente Unified School District and work with students in grades 7-8.
Sparks has earned the California Civic Learning Award of Merit through a partnership with the City of La Puente on Project L.E.A.D. and our students continue to engage in opportunities to learn about and improve their community.
Spartans continue to show academic growth and set goals that support all students both academically and socially. Our academic program focuses on enhancing 21st century skills and offering a variety of electives that include AIM, band, dance, Media Tech, and STEAM that give students a chance to broaden their learning. We provide lessons and activities that encourage students to make positive choices and to care for their mind, body, and spirit.
The ongoing partnerships between our teachers, staff, and families help to ensure student success and we continue to celebrate the varied aspects of growth and achievement each school year.
